By requesting our services, receiving a consultation, approving a proposal, scheduling work, or allowing our team to perform services at your property, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms help ensure a clear, professional, and reliable experience for every customer.

1. Estimates & Pricing

All estimates, proposals, and pricing details are based on the information available at the time of consultation or inspection. Unless otherwise stated, estimates remain valid for 30 days. Prices may be adjusted if project requirements change, measurements are inaccurate, hidden issues are discovered, or supplier costs increase. Work will begin only after written approval and payment of any required deposit.

2. Project Agreements

For many projects, we may provide a written or digital agreement outlining the approved scope of work, estimated timeline, payment schedule, selected materials, and responsibilities of each party. This agreement becomes the main reference document for the project. Where verbal discussions differ from written terms, the written agreement will generally apply.

3. Our Commitment to Quality

Home Comfort Design aims to deliver dependable workmanship, thoughtful planning, and respectful customer service. Labor completed directly by our team may be covered by a workmanship guarantee for the period stated in your project documents. Manufacturer items such as appliances, electronics, fixtures, and branded systems remain subject to their own separate warranty terms.

4. Services Available

Our services may include interior redesign, exterior upgrades, kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, flooring, roofing, gutter systems, decor planning, solar support solutions, fire safety improvements, and home security installations. Service availability may vary by property type, technical suitability, location, and scheduling capacity.

5. Scheduling & Timelines

We make every reasonable effort to meet planned schedules and estimated completion dates. However, timelines are estimates only and may be affected by weather, permit delays, material shortages, customer-requested changes, utility interruptions, site access restrictions, or concealed structural conditions. We will communicate updates when delays become known.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate property details, timely approvals, and safe access to the work area during scheduled visits. Walkways and project zones should be reasonably clear. Valuable, fragile, or sentimental items should be removed or protected before work begins.

7. Permits & External Approvals

Some projects may require permits, inspections, homeowner association approval, or utility authorization. Unless specifically included in writing, obtaining these approvals remains the customer’s responsibility. Decisions or delays caused by government bodies or third parties are outside our control.

8. Changes to Scope of Work

If additional services, upgraded materials, layout changes, or design revisions are requested after the project begins, revised pricing and updated timelines may apply. We may issue a change order or updated estimate before proceeding with added work.

9. Payment Terms

Depending on project size, payments may include an initial deposit, milestone payments, and a final balance due at substantial completion. Unpaid balances may delay scheduling, material procurement, continuation of work, or final handover of completed services.

10. Materials & Suppliers

We may source products and materials from third-party suppliers. While we aim to recommend reliable products, stock shortages, shipping delays, discontinued items, or manufacturing defects may occur. Substitute options may be suggested when practical and subject to your approval.

11. Existing Property Conditions

Older homes or previously renovated properties may contain hidden conditions such as water damage, mold, pest activity, faulty wiring, plumbing leaks, structural weakness, or code violations. If discovered during the project, these issues may require additional repairs, revised plans, or extra charges.

12. Site Safety

Customers, children, pets, and visitors should remain clear of active work zones. Construction and installation environments may involve tools, dust, exposed surfaces, electrical work, noise, and temporary hazards. Following safety guidance helps protect everyone involved.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Home Comfort Design is not responsible for delays or losses caused by force majeure events, hidden defects, supplier failures, misuse after installation, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where liability legally applies, it may be limited to the amount paid for the relevant service.

14. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with reasonable notice. If custom materials have been ordered, permits filed, or labor specifically reserved for your project, certain costs may remain payable.

15. Updates to Terms

We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect legal obligations, service improvements, or operational changes. The most current version made available by Home Comfort Design will apply to future engagements.
